Streamer Awards 2023 Winners Introduction

It is a great honor to be nominated at the Streamer Awards 2023, let alone win an award. We at Famecop watched the show, and we bring you an article about the best Twitch and Youtube streamers who participated in the show. This show celebrates the yearly achievements of the most popular internet personalities. The Streamer Awards 2023 happened in Los Angeles and was held by non-other than QTCindarella. This is not the first event she threw, and it is already the second year of the Streamer Awards. You can watch the whole show on her YouTube channel, including red-carpet interviews with the streamers.

What is the Streamer Awards 2023?

The Streamer Awards celebrates the achievements of various internet personalities in the live-streaming industry. Everything is viewer decided! At first, viewers decide on the games that deserve their own categories and nominate their favorite streamers. After that, people can vote on who they think should win the award. The awards are decided by 70% of viewers' votes and 30% of panellists' to maintain integrity. On March 11th 2023, the Streamer Awards 2023 was streamed on QTCinderella's Twitch channel. In addition, you could watch the red-carpet interviews brought to you by Squeex, Sweet Anita, Hasanabi and Ludwig.

Streamer of the Year - Kai Cenat

Originally trying to become a comedian, Kai Cenat used to post his short videos on Instagram and Facebook during high school. During his college days, he decided to drop out to fully focus on chasing his content creator dream. In 2022, Kai Cenat took Twitch by storm. During this year, he started bringing guests such as Bobby Shmurda, 21 Savage and Lil Baby, having over 283,000 peak viewer-count. As if this wasn't enough, Kai Cenat launched a month-long subathon on 1st February 2023. He amassed over 300,000 subscribers on Twitch. Whenever you tuned into Kai's stream, you could expect anything: chatting, party games, gaming and talking with guests, and even sleeping on camera. These wild streamers made him overtake the former record holder Ludwig Ahgren, and Kai Cenat became the most-subscribed Twitch streamer of all time with over 300,000 subscribers. It should be no surprise that at the 2023 Streamer Awards, Kai Cenat won as the Streamer of the Year.

TenZ is rather new compared to all the veterans at the 2023 Streamer Awards. However, that doesn't mean he is unable to grab an award for himself! In 2019, TenZ joined Cloud9's CS:GO team and became one of the youngest players in the professional scene at the time. After the release of the public beta release of Riot Games, TenZ left CS:GO scene and focused on Valorant. He eventually stepped down from the competitive scene to focus on streaming and creating content for his fans. In 2022, TenZ announced engagement with his long-time girlfriend, Kyedae "Kyedae" Shymko. The two often play and stream Valorant together. Even though he is young on the scene, TenZ has already earned recognition from the more prominent streamers on the platform. That's why he became the 2023 Best Gamer at the Streamer Awards.

As of 2023, Vtubers are in a weird spot on the internet. You either love them or hate them. Usually, there is no in-between. IronMouse is a female American Vtuber who lives in Puerto Rico and is a part of the Vtuber agency VShojo. In 2017, IronMouse started her streaming career on YouNow. Two years later, in 2019, she started streaming on Twitch. She revealed she suffers from an illness and can't leave her house. That's why she started streaming in the first place. Her streams are often full of joy, where she makes her fans laugh, and you can tell she cares for her community. You can expect anything from IronMouse, from singing to her fans to playing the later popular video games. In the 2023 Streamer Awards, Ironmouse snatched the award for the best VTuber and came on top of the competition!

In 2016, Felix Lengyel started his streaming career as a League of Legends streamer. However, with the release of Overwatch, he started his esports career in an official Overwatch team. His stream was eventually disbanded in the middle of the season due to controversy. That helped him to focus on streaming full-time. In 2020, xQc had the highest watch hours at over 174 million hours, almost 50 million more than the second-highest, even though he was banned three times that year. Both in 2020 and 2021, xQc was the most watched streamer on Twitch. In 2022, he streamed an event from r/Place, where people could edit publicly shared canvas by changing the colours of pixels. During this event, he targeted the My Little Pony and received more death threats in one hour than in the last six years combined. Even though 2023 wasn't as strong for xQc as 2022 or 2021, he won the award for Best Variety streamer.

Asmongold is an American Twitch streamer who is known for his react streams and playing video games. You might argue Asmongold doesn't really play World of Warcraft anymore. However, he often comes back to check out the new patch and tries to farm all the old and new mounts. Although he doesn't play World of Warcraft as much as he did, he started playing other MMORPGs such as Lost Ark, Final Fantasy XIV and Black Desert Online. Even though he does play other game genres, you can still count him as an MMORPG streamer. If you think Asmongold didn't stream for years, you probably don't know about his alt-channel Zackrawrr, where he streams almost daily. A lot of fans want Asmongold to stream Genshin Impact, and he will get to it eventually, don't worry about it.

If you are a fan of LolTyler1, you should know about his love-hate relationship with League of Legends. In April 2016, Tyler got permanently banned from Riot for toxic behaviour. However, he didn't stop playing and climbed to high ranks on over 20 accounts until he got on the radar of Riot and was banned again. In early 2018, LolTyler1 got officially unbanned and stated, "He had reformed". This is true to some degree. Still, Tyler's streams are full of over-the-top emotions, and you should probably lower your headset volume if you plan to tune in to his streams. It should be no surprise that LolTyler1 won the award for the Best League of Legends streamer. He is easily one of the most entertaining and streamed over 10,000 hours of the game.

Who would think this business degree in marketing student would once become one of the biggest IRL streamers on Twitch? He started streaming when he was studying in China. After that, he moved back to the United States and worked at Livestar in the marketing division. However, he decided to learn Japanese and move to Tokyo. In 2017, he officially started his IRL streaming career. He is one of the pioneers of Twitch IRL streamers and set up the standard. In addition to Japan, Jakenbake has lived in Shanghai and Los Angeles. In 2022, his video about saving a lost woman in Thailand earned over 5 million views on YouTube. In the 2023 Streamer Awards, Jakenbakelive was against some fierce competition. However, he won the award for Best IRL Streamer!

Hasan Piker, known more under his internet alias HasanAbi is a Turkish-American Twitch streamer and left-wing political commentator. He is mainly known for his reactionary content, hot-takes and internet drama. However, Hasan also plays video games on his Twitch streams. In 2023, after the Turkey–Syria earthquake, Hasan organized a fundraiser that was promoted by other streamers and raised over $1,200,000 for the victims. In 2022, he accumulated over 82 million hours watched on his channel. At the 2022 Streamer Awards, HasanAbi lost to a fellow Twitch streamer Mizkif, and it seemed there was no hope for him to win next year. However, at the 2023 Streamer Awards, HasanAbi got announced as the Best Just Chatting streamer.

iiTzTimmy shared he had played the games since he was five years old. He convinced his older brother to create him a Maple Story account, and he has been hooked to video games since then. iiTzTimmy was already a huge fan of Shroud when he used to play CS:GO competitively. He went to college for a year before he dropped it to chase his dreams. iiTzTimmy alternated between streaming League of Legends and Counter-Strike. After that, he jumped on the Battle Royale hype train. He played Player Unknown's Battleground upon release and Realm Royale. After that, he also tried Fortnite before he finally found his main game, Apex Legends. iiTzTimmy also often played with his idol Shroud. It was just a matter of time before iiTzTimmy won an award. At the 2022 Streamer Awards, he lost the award for Best Gamer to his friend Shroud. Finally, at the 2023 Streamer Awards, iiTzTimmy won the award for Best Battle Royale Streamer.
