Joyce Tanner is a South Korean-American Vine Star, social media personality, TikToker and YouTuber who goes by his internet name QPark. QPark gained a lot of recognition from posting over-exaggerated real-life situation-related videos. He also has a YouTube channel posting comedy sketches/skits, reaction videos, pranks, and challenge videos.
Personal life of QPark
Joyce Tanner was born on 17th July 1979 in South Korea but moved to the United States, New York, with his family when he was younger. QPark grew up in a family of four and has a younger brother. There is not too much information about his family, and he keeps it private.
QPark studied at Horace Mann School, New York. After that, in 2000, QPark graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts program in Economics.
QPark is not married. Still, he has a long time girlfriend, Edith Oquendo, who often helps him with his videos. The two adopted two pet dogs, Knubby Park and Quentin Park. QPark shared that he is a survivor of the 9-11 attack and is grateful to god for it.
The career of QPark
After graduating college, QPark joined Merrill Lynch Financial Services as an analyst and became vice president of The Media and Entertainment Department in Morgan Joseph Co. Inc., where he worked for six years and shared that time it almost killed him.
In 2009, QPark opened a Korean Barbeque Restaurant that turned out to be highly successful. Following its success, QPark opened another three restaurants in the upcoming years.
QPark realized he was not really interested in making food but rather eating it. He created a Vine account and started uploading videos to entertain people. QPark decided to become a full-time comedian and sold all of his restaurants. Vine was at its peak, and QPark quickly reached over 3 million followers. He collaborated with some huge brands such as Adult Swim, Budweiser, Charmin, Comcast, Dunkin Donuts, Gap, Hewlett Packard, Kia, Marvel, Pepsi, Smirnoff, Spotify, TBS, TNT, VH1 and Virgin Mobile.
In April 2012, QPark decided to branch into other social media and started posting on Instagram. In 2013, QPark announced he would upload his videos on both Instagram and Vine. In 2017, when Vine shut down, QPark smoothly transitioned to Instagram.
QPark’s first Instagram sketch showed him scaring strangers with a fake snake. In another video, QPark walks the streets with Dragon King dressed up as Kim Jong Un and his bodyguard.
He mainly uploads videos about doing things in public. This includes singing, dancing, and doing other actions in public for comedic purposes. Almost everybody in the crowd would react like he is a weird person, and the amount of people who dances or sings with him is rare.
