Lex Griffin and Martial Arts
His interest in biology helped his fitness journey since Lex knew his way around human anatomy and the physiological system. He started to work out at a local gym in order to build muscle and become stronger. Lex quickly became amazed by the results he saw, so he made some important changes regarding his diet and training plans. After graduating from university, Lex became interested in martial arts and started taking Muay Thai classes. He quickly adapted, and soon after, Lex began competing in Mixed Martial Arts. Since these competitions weren’t just about showing muscles, Lex had to accommodate his training program. He started to focus on training that reminded him of CrossFit.
Lex Griffin as a professional bodybuilder
Due to the change of environment, Lex lost a lot of his big muscles, which adapted to his needs. He weighed about 72 kilograms and developed a very lean and functional body. Lex came out of his fighting era as a new man who didn’t let pain slow him down. Once he felt like he had had enough, he switched back to bodybuilding. Since his body got used to quick changes, it adapted very quickly to his new workout, and Lex started to see results in a shorter period of time. Since people noticed how worked up Lex’s body was, they pushed him to look at bodybuilding competitions. He decided to give it a chance and competed at The MuscleMania Scottish Regional Bodybuilding Competition in 2011. To his surprise, Lex walked out as a middleweight champion, which allowed him to sign up for more critical shows.
In the same year, Lex ranked third at the MuscleMania UK National Championship. Even though he didn’t win, Lex felt even more motivated and signed up for the Fitness Britain National & Commonwealth Championship in the lightweight category. He walked out as a champion, which made him feel like he needed to shift his goal to something else. Lex created his YouTube channel in 2010 but didn’t post much at the time. Once he quit competing, he started to focus on his content, filming helpful training and fitness tips. Even though his fitness tips didn’t do bad, he realized that he could put his fighting experience to use.
