Early life and background of Lita Lewis

Lita grew up in Sydney, where she was raised as the oldest of three sisters. She was raised as an active child when her mother signed her into the athletics club. She loved playing sports and getting better at them but never thought about making a career as a bodybuilder. What caused her change of course, was going through a terrible breakup with her ex-boyfriend. Lita was in a bad mood and unmotivated until she decided to do something about it. She picked up weights and never put them down.

Although she didn’t enjoy it at first, working out helped her not only physically but also mentally. Her mood instantly improved, and she even started to love her body. For Lita, fitness wasn’t about getting prettier or losing weight. Working out helped her to become her best self. She felt stronger, happier and more confident. To track her progress, Lita joined Instagram in 2011. She posted pictures of her figure and wrote about the benefits of fitness. Soon after, her Instagram account blew up, and she started getting messages from followers asking her for advice.

At that moment, Lita figured out that she might turn her passion into an actual career. She signed to a course and got certified as a personal trainer, so she could give people verified advice. Since she knew enough about muscle groups and how to train them, she started posting short videos on her Instagram. In her videos, she shared specific training sessions, which she did herself. It allowed her fans to watch her form and learn to do those exercises on their own.

#ThickFit #YouFit

Lita grew up in America and was aware of its body preferences. She was sick of the media manipulation into thinking that only skinny women are healthy. Lita decided to use her influence to change this old mindset and set a new example. She posted pictures of her body after a workout and used hashtags #ThickFit and #YouFit. She wanted to point out that every body is beautiful and that being skinny doesn’t necessarily mean being healthy. The internet did its job, and Lita’s powerful message spread everywhere.

Lita’s main intention is to inspire people to become their best version. Her training is never explicitly focused on losing weight or building muscle. She tries to complete her training plans to affect strength, speed and mobility. This includes warming up before every session and a combination of cardio and weightlifting. Sometimes she adds her recommendation for health supplements and her favourite recipes. For example, Lita’s favourite health booster is green juice, which contains the right amount of vitamins and minerals.

Thick Athletics

Soon after her social media went viral, Lita started getting requests to recommend useful active wear. Some of her followers struggled to find durable activewear that would also compliment their figure. Eventually, an idea came up. Lita is known for encouraging her followers with phrases like “Love Thigh Self” or “Thick Thighs Save Lives”. Lita came up with the idea to start her own brand of activewear, putting her famous phrases right on the clothes. That way, she would create durable gym clothes and merch in one. The idea came to life when Lita announced the launching of her own clothing line: Thick Athletics.
