22/7

What is 22/7? 

22/7, also known as Nanabun no Nijuuni, is a special idol group project created by Japanese record producer Yasushi Akimoto and Sony Music Entertainment. This project combines real-life idol girls with virtual anime-style idols. 

In 2018, eight out of the 11 members became Virtual YouTubers, and it all started with Fujima Sakura. However, by 2022, only Takigawa Miu was still active on YouTube, although very rarely. 

The group has had some members graduate over time. Here are the names of the members

Interesting facts about 22/7

  • The project is unique in that it features both real-life idol girls and virtual anime-style idols who serve as their counterparts. 
  • Many of the members of 22/7 became Virtual YouTubers, using this platform to connect with fans and create content. 
  • Over time, several members have graduated from the group, with new members joining or some members continuing as the project evolved. 
  • By 2022, only one member, Takigawa Miu, remained active on YouTube, although her uploads were infrequent.
