The Game Club Project

What is The Game Club Project?

The Game Club Project was a team of Virtual YouTubers run by Brave Group. They began their journey on March 6, 2018. In April 2019, there was a big problem. The actors who voiced the club members had issues with how they were treated by the people in charge. This made them leave their roles. After some talking between the actors and the people in charge, they came back on April 19, but by the end of 2019, a whole new set of actors replaced them.

History of The Game Club Project

Their YouTube channel was made on January 25, 2018. The first video, with Kaede Yumesaki introducing herself, was uploaded on March 6.

On April 5, 2019, the actors quit because they were treated badly and spoken to rudely by the production staff. The news about this spread widely the next day, but there was no official statement from the management until April 8. On that day, the company's website said they knew about the rumors and were working on making things better for the actors.

On April 11, they said sorry and promised to create a new department to take care of the actors, separate from the business side. They also hinted that the Game Club Project might continue. On April 15, the members said on Twitter that they were coming back and would start working again on the 19th.

Voice actors replacements

Replacement of Actors In late June 2019, the voice actress for Miria was changed. Then, in early July, Haruto's voice actor was also changed. This made the fans very upset, and the channel lost more than 30,000 subscribers in just one week after the videos were uploaded. Other channels owned by Unlimited Inc. were also affected, losing subscribers.

On July 17, the head of Unlimited Inc. said sorry for taking so long to announce the actor changes. He also said that the actors for Kaede and Ryo would be changed in early September that year. 2020 On December 31, Brave Group (formerly known as Unlimited Inc.) announced that Kaede, Haruto, and Ryo would retire in February 2021.

On February 7, after nine months of not posting, the Game Club did their last live stream as a group. Kaede, Haruto, and Ryo retired from their YouTube work, while Miria continued on her own YouTube channel.
