Jaclyn Hill is an American internet personality, active on YouTube, Instagram and other social media. She was born on 20th July 1990 on a family farm in Illinois. Her real name is Jaclyn Roxanne Eilers. Her family was very religious, which led them to Florida to practice missionary work. They have been travelling around the world in order to preach Christianity. In 2012 Jaclyn's parents divorced, and she hasn't been in much contact with her father ever since. Jaclyn was homeschooled by her mother as a child until she started to attend College in Sarasota, where she studied photography. In 2015 Jaclyn was approached by BECCA, an Australian beauty company, to collaborate with them. She agreed, and not long after that, BECCA launched their most popular highlighter called Champagne Pop. Her other collaborations included, for example, Morphe Cosmetics. Throughout two years, they released a makeup palette and a cosmetic brush set with help from Jaclyn.

In response to the hate, Jaclyn posted a YouTube video titled My Lipsticks. In the said video, she addressed all of the complaints trying to apologize but also explaining the possible cause. She blamed the staff in her lab for wearing cotton gloves while operating with the product, which could've caused those found hair pieces. She also stated that the original mixture must've been pressed down insufficiently, which caused the air bubbles and bad consistency. But the fans weren't convinced, and on top of that, some fellow influencers started to look into it. As it presented itself, there was no way that cotton gloves or the pressed-down mixture could cause these kinds of flaws.
Fans started to demand their money back, and Jaclyn's popularity went down quickly. It got to the point where she stopped uploading any new pictures on Instagram and changed her YouTube channel to private. In July 2019, Jaclyn posted another video where she explained what she could and apologized to fans, ensuring they would get their money back. After that, she moved away from the camera and started working on her company all over again.
