Who is Bretman Rock?
Bretman Rock is a Filipino internet star active on Instagram, YouTube and other social platforms. His full mane is Bretman Rock Sacayanan Laforga, and he was born on 31st July 1998 in the Philippines. He was named after Bret Hart, whose nickname is The Rock because Bretman's father was a massive fan of wrestling. His family moved to Hawaii when he was 7 years old. As a child, Bretman enjoyed participating in sports activities, such as volleyball, soccer and baseball.

Bretman began appearing on the internet while he was still in high school. He created his YouTube channel in 2012 for the purpose of filming mainly comedy content. He used to be active on Vine and other similar sites and made funny meme videos and sketches. Although he enjoyed filming comedy videos, most of them couldn't be found anymore because he deleted them after becoming famous, since they weren't of the highest quality.
In 2015, Bretman found a new passion of his, makeup. He moved on from making meme content and started to focus on makeup tutorials and beauty tips. But soon, it turned out that he would become even more famous. People were mesmerized not by his makeup skills, at least not primarily. They were shocked by his looks, and with every picture he posted, his fame grew even more. Bretman is openly gay and believes that clothes have no gender, which he presents with his outfits. He became a sort of icon for the LGBTQ+ community. He isn't a typical activist in common sense, but he inspired and helped many people with his confidence. In 2021, Bretman got a chance to become famous also on television. MTV approached him with an opportunity to be a star of his own reality show. The show is called MTV Following: Bretman Rock, and it had six episodes in total. Each episode was focused on one aspect of Bret's life, and it was released on MTV's and Bretman's YouTube channels.
Right after the show ended, another one started. In this case, the show was called 30 days with Bretman Rock, a YouTube Original series which presents only the most influential people. This show had five episodes in total. Bretman's task was to survive a week in the jungle alone, without his belongings and everyday objects. Needless to say, people were thrilled to watch Bretman in the wilderness, and each episode had millions of views.

Though Bretman shares his personal life regularly on social media, he is very secretive, considering his crushes or dating history. Since his coming-out post on Twitter years ago, the internet has been trying to find out about his spouses or ex-lovers, but with no luck whatsoever. He once shared a photo on Instagram with his boyfriend but later announced that he is single and happy.

Because of his personality, natural beauty and fame, Bertman has reached several achievements. For example, in 2016, he signed a management contract under ABS-CBN's Adobe Studios, which is a network owned by ABS-CNB Corporation, which is the Philippines' largest media conglomerate. He is so famous amongst the LGBTQ+ community that he made it to the cover of Gay Times by Pride Month in 2019. In 2020 Bretman launched his own makeup line as a result of collaboration with Wet'n'Wild cosmetics brand. In order to promote his collection, he appeared on a BuzzFeed tour.
