YouTube career of Gabriel Zamora
Growing up, Gabriel was interested in beauty and enjoyed watching YouTube makeup-related videos. His favourite accounts belonged to Dulce Candy and Patrick Staaar. He decided to follow in their footsteps and created his YouTube channel in 2014. He started slowly by posting a makeup tutorial on the natural makeup look for men. After that, he filmed a video on how to do a natural eyebrow look, and those were the only videos with his real hair. In his third video, Gabriel put on a blue wig which stayed with him his whole career. Nowadays, his audience can't imagine Gabriel without his signature blue hair.

Controversies around Gabriel Zamora
Since the beginning of his YouTube career, Gabriel has loved to share his opinions with the world, even though they might be unpopular. His loud personality made him some powerful friends in the beauty community, such as Jeffree Star, Nikita Dragun and Manny MUA. But it went wrong in 2018 when Jeffree Star appeared in a Shane Dawson documentary and referred to Gabriel, Manny, Nikita and Laura Lee as ex-friends. They decided to take a picture together, which Gabriel posted with the caption, "Bi*ch is bitter because without him we're doing better". Jeffree's fans took it personally and dogged out some questionable tweets from Gabriel's and others' past, which led to a lot of apology videos.
This wasn't the only controversy that Gabriel got into. He took part in the very public argument between James Charles and Tati Westbrook. Gabriel decided to add fuel to the fire by making a video called Makeup and Opinions, where he publicly took James' side. He called Tati fraudulent and insisted that James did nothing wrong. This video was taken badly by Gabriel's fans because it felt like he appeared in a drama which wasn't about him at all. A lot of people unsubscribed after this, leaving him with just a fraction of his previous fanbase.
Gabriel's name got more popular throughout the years, and he caught the eye of many beauty brands. At the beginning of his career, Lili Ghalichi encouraged him to pursue a career on YouTube and named him the social media coordinator of Lili's Lashes. Since a lot of makeup brands gained customers by naming male influencers as their ambassadors, Michelle Phan had the same idea. She hired Gabriel as a stylist in her Ipsy brand. When MAC Cosmetics decided to collaborate with 10 different influencers, Gabriel was the only male participant.
