Who is Justmaiko?

Justmaiko’s real name is Michael Le. He is an Asian-American choreographer and dancer with a broad social media reach. Michael established his fan base mainly on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram.

Although Michael might not be as famous as other top TikTokers, he is one of TikTok’s most popular male personalities. He also created one of TikTok’s most-watched videos, in which he dances on an escalator to Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie.”

Personal life of Justmaiko

Michael Le was born on 19th March 2000 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was raised by his mother, Tina, who is a nail technician with his three younger siblings. Michael has one younger sister, Tiffany and two younger brothers, Jonathan and Daniel. His younger siblings frequently appear in his posts and aspire to be dancers just like their big brother. 

Michael shared he always wanted to be a dancer. He also mentioned that he wasn’t famous during his school years. 

He originally moved to California with a group of friends to create Shluv House, where he lived with a group of friends and created content for TikTok and YouTube.

Michael Le dated a fellow dancer and TikToker Analisse for some time. Analisse admitted seeing him for the first time when she was 11. Their friendship gradually grew as they began making Tik Tok videos.

They eventually broke up but remained close friends. Michael even stated they are best friends. On 20th November 2020, Michael posted a heartfelt birthday message to Analisse on her 20th birthday

“You’ve changed my life so much that I honestly have no idea where I would be right now if I hadn’t met you 8 years ago. You’re the most caring, loving, and most thoughtful person I’ve ever met, and I can’t wait to see what else you accomplish from here on out. I LOVE YOU.”

The career of Justmaiko

Michael always wanted to be a dancer, but he also enjoys teaching other people how to dance. In May 2014, Michael released his first YouTube channel, “Michael Le”, He always liked to choreograph popular songs by famous artists. 

In late 2014, Michael posted his first dancing video choreographed on Justin Timberlake’s song “Let the Groove Get in.” He even posted five more under-a-minute videos on the same day.

In March 2016, Michael decided to share his skills with people and created his first tutorial video. In the six-minute video, he explains basic dance moves and a few helpful tips for beginner-level ‘tutting dance’ steps.

Michael’s fame really blew up after he, in 2016, started posting short dance videos on music.ly that later became TikTok.

On 14th July 2019, Michael created his second YouTube channel, “Justmaiko”. Michael decided to grow this channel during quarantine and step out of the TikTok scene. This doesn’t mean he is inactive. He just doesn’t seem to post that often.

In 2020, Michael and his friends formed the collective Shluv House. The five men live together in Los Angeles and create content for social media platforms like TikTok and YouTube.

On 5th August 2021, Michael released a video, “I’m leaving..” where it seemed like he was leaving the social media scene, but he actually left Shluv House. He currently lives with his mom and three siblings in Shluv House 2.0.
